8:30am: Registration and sign-in with coffee and refreshments in the Venable Gym. 9:30am- 12:15pm: Send off to 19+ Service Projects (9 on site at MCLA and 9 or more at various community sites) 12:30: Free Lunch and Community celebration with speakers, entertainment and presentation of annual MLK Peacemaker Award. Parking available in MCLA lots (Freel Library, behind Hoosac Hall) and nearby streets.

Join us for the 25th Annual community Celebration in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year's Day of Service and Celebration will be at a new location at MCLA at the Venable Gym.
Skills:
Must be OK to walk to nearby MCLA and North Adams community trees on this day. Create colorful tree wrappings that highlight Words and quotes for the 4 Action Steps from Dr. Martin Luther King's Letter from Birmingham Jail. First designing and figuring tree wraps inside Venable Hall, then going into nearby North Adams community and wrapping the trees. Staple Guns needed. This Service project will be led by AnnaMaria Sabastino as part of Majic Trees in the Berkshires work to bring these colorful wrapped trees to help combat SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Up to 20 people needed to wrap the trees.
MLK Martin Luther King Committee
The MLK Committee, under the umbrella of the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition is a volunteer led committee that coordinates events that honor the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The main event is the Annual MLK community celebration on the annual holiday.
